Tea wouldn't be my top choice for reasons to visit a particular location. Art and architecture, culture/music/ and history, geography and geology, food and wine - all these are worth exploring when visiting a distant place and people.
I'm content reading the travel exploits of those who have advanced knowledge of tea growing and processing. However, if consultation carried me to the vicinity of one of several internationally esteemed tea chemistry institutes, that would be very cool. I'd make a special side trip.
Down to the dregs of my breakfast teas, awaiting deliveries this week.

I think I would love to go because the places offer so much adventure - South Africa - Rooibos or Latin America - mate. I am trying to get to South Africa for the World cup next year so I am cutting expenses this year in anticipation of that. So Even though I know it will be pricey I think its worth it ;-0
Been a long time
Been almost 15 years since I last saw dogwoods in bloom in the piney woods of the Deep South. Surely was a treat, that late February Sunday drive when the earth smelled richly of Spring awakening. A strengthening winter sun would illuminate the starry blossoms of redbud and dogwood, dotted like stars in the sky among the drab browns of the passing countryside.
In town, the daffodils and tulips were set for their short, showy displays, competing for space with lesser-known exotic blooms in thickly-planted beds. The oldest azalea bushes, some grown to tree height, had been busy in the cold of winter setting fat flower buds. Their time would come soon, the perfection of glamorous reds, glowing pinks and delicate cream flowers captured for posterity, a fragrant backdrop to family photographed in Easter finery in some just-manicured backyard.
Spring flowering was all of maybe 3 weeks or a month, but what a display!
Very nice photo - brought back some memories. Thanks, Sal.

I'd love to travel to those places, since I've never been out of North America. Money ends up being the reason for not going, though. Personally, I don't have a particular favorite place I'd like to go, I'd much rather visit them all!
Been sick the past few days, so I decided not to go with something too exciting since I won't be able to taste the subtleties. Really craving some white, but don't want it wasted. Drinking some Chestnut from Adagio's christmas blends right now.
Another downside to my taste being deadened, was planning on putting my first few reviews on my new blog today, since I'd have time (we decided today would be our senior skip day at school), but unable to since I can't taste too much.
I can deal with most sickness, but I hate being congested...

I'd prefer to visit tea country but I won't have time during the next five years, so I will be reading about the journeys of others instead.
I have had a Taiwanese tea morning and I'm having a Japanese afternoon. Upton Spring Dragon followed by Mem's Jade Oolong this morning. O-Cha's Yame Gyokuro in my cup this afternoon.
