My last new tea was Adagio's Ali Shan. The sample didn't last long and I've already made a dent on the next tin. This is one of my current favorites.

This morning started with Irish Breakfast (adagio), and now I'm enjoying Huang Guan Yin (teaspring).

I think the last new tea I tried was an osmanthus oolong. It's hard to remember what the exact last one was though.

In my cup now is a pistachio rooibos. Real tasty. I usually drink a mate in the morning to wake me up but went for something different today

My last new tea was an oolong from a tasting at a tea shop.

If I don't count samples sent by friends, my last new tea is Ippodo shin shun wakamatsu no mukashi matcha, the new year version of my regular matcha.
If it doesn't count as a new tea, obuku cha (from Ippodo).

Right now in my cup some Zencha the ultimate sencha.

My last new tea was O-Cha's Yame Gyokuro, which I talked about a few days ago. I drank only the Yame Gyo yesterday afternoon -- I think that's why I almost fell asleep during supper.

Chip and all of you have gotten me onto a Japanese green kick rather earlier than I was planning. I have new gyos and senchas hurtling toward me from Zencha, Hibiki-an, and O-Cha, and I ordered a glazed hohin because I need a good vessel that won't retain the flavor of previously brewed teas -- I don't want to brew all of the gyo in a gaiwn. I'll post a pic after it arrives.

Hi Ginko, I've been using Afrin to clear my sinuses, and that has allowed me to taste the tea:-)

Today's Tea

The tea in my cup is also a new one for me: SevenCups Lao Cong Shui Xian 2008.

Interesting, though I am still forming my opinion.

My last new tea was pretty ordinary...I was checking out a new tea shop in the local mall and I bought some Keemun Hao Ya...normally I drink Panda #1 or Maofeng for Keemun's and hadn't tried the Hao Ya before. Overall it's quite a bit closer to the Panda than the Maofeng with a very light, sweet character rather than the heavier dried fruit and smoke of the Maofeng.

Also happens to be what tea I'm drinking this afternoon...probably because I saw this thread.

My last new tea was an anonymous looking puerh cake that I found at the asian food market for $5.99. It definately had that barnyard quality but it wasn't nearly as scary as I thought it would be.

It has been a tough few days. Honi Belle, our eldest cat, and a cat I rescued years ago as a baby near death abandoned in our yard, has been fading fast this week. She will not make it through the night, maybe hours away.

She was named after my favorite citrus, the Mineola Tangelo, aka Honey Bell from Florida, obviously an orange tab.

My last "new tea" was Kagoshima from Yuuki-Cha.

I did manage to have a decent TeaDay nevertheless. Started the day with the same Kagoshima from Yuuki-Cha along with SweeTea. Cameos by Pyrit, TEAh, Gandalf, and Wolong who was shoulder top.
Next up, Fukamushi Supreme from O-Cha, great as always. Just finishing up some Adagio Sencha Premier.
Tea is comforting today ...
blah blah blah SENCHA blah blah blah!!!

I voted for Black (surprise, surprise). I am having fun working my way through Adagio's black teas, trying each of them. Also, my local grocery store has put in an "international foods" section with lots of new tea varieties.

:( I'm sorry about your cat, Chip. It's always hard when an animal leaves us.
