yes I use about a 9oz yixing pot so I am steeping about 7 or 8 oz of water or so. I also use the just before real boiling point. cant rememebr what its called.."fish eyes" maybe? another method i go by is when steam from my kettle has moved from being lazy to really going straight up.Victoria wrote:I'd go 3 mins in the ingenuiTea.
iannon, I believe is probably referring to
another method or vessel.
No rest for the Tea infused!!
Note the time im posting this and take a guess what I have been doing
I have to say im not impressed so far with the greens, I like the oolongs but Im still sticking to my old fav earl grey.
the greens taste like spinach water to me. I will have to play with some others. I only brewed one... (cannot recall the name right off) the oolong 18 is a little better but tastes very close to irish breakfast to me.
I have not tried the white teas yet... Im off to bed soon ..... im at 6 cups (first one at 9pm, last one at midnight) the caffeine should wear off soon... im looking forward to the crash..... any minute now
lol

If Oolong #18 tastes like Irish Breakfast, someone mixed up your tea tins.
#18 is a very light, greenish oolong, not even remotely close to a black tea. I'm betting you were drinking #8 or #40.
18 is my favorite of the 3.

***This organic blend is earthy & spicy, with a fragrant aroma & smooth flavor to captivate the senses. Naturally sweetened in the Kentucky sunshine & infused with natural energy. Equally delicious when served piping hot or crisply chilled.***
Look at the leaf pics on the Adagio site and compare.
As Sarah says, 18 is not even close to tasting like a black.

About one teaspoon should be a good ratio for the ingenuiTea, and then 3 mins
just off boil.
