I heard about it from a tea friend of mine. And I'm such a chatterbox I was immediately addicted

I first came to TeaChat to learn and to get advise. I will always be in a learning state when it comes to tea.

I also enjoy discussing tea with everyone although I usually don't have enough time in a day to do this - recently, it's getting better!

Sakura Sencha this morning!

Get advice. Since I started reading TC last year, my tea sessions have improved. Puerh was always a challenge until I found using short infusions was the way to go. I also discovered Japanese greens are more to my liking now that I learned how to better brew them. I also learned how to drain a bank account, but that's something I may have eventually learned on my own :?

Well I found adagio through a google search and I found teachat by following the link from adagio. I was merely curious about teachat and tea in general. I can't believe how much I have learned.

Salsero, is that pot from YSLLC? If so, I think I may have just gotten the same one! It's a cutie.

My reason for coming here is a lot of those rolled into one but mainly for discussion. Even though I asked for a lot of advice in the beginning, I never sign up for a forum unless I intend to stick with it and give back to the community.

On my second cup of ceylon today. Long work day ahead of me. But I have hello panda and pocky that I picked up at the asian market to get me through the day!

Curiosity of what a tea forum was came first (tbh, what an internet forum was, sounded a little :? to me), then tea discussion as soon as I found it to my liking, and shortly there after tea fellowship. Advise, received and given just happened by osmosis I think.

But I guess I was hooked right away.

Started the TeaDay with Takumi sencha from Zencha, brewed cooler at around 150*. Quite tasty. It seems I am still learning about sencha, I have hardly arrived at my ultimate destination. I believe SweeTea liked the cooler brew. Pyrit, Ceylon, TEAh, Lil Bit, and Gandalf were all present and accounted for today at some point at the rather busy TeaTable. :D

Next up, O-Cha Chiran Supreme, always supreme.
blah blah blah SENCHA blah blah blah!!!

All of the above would have been my choice.

Great poll question Chip:!:
Will there be a follow-up tomorrow... "why we are here now?"

I definately came here first for advice with a very close 2nd and 3rd places being tea fellowhip and tea discussion. I want to progress to giving back as that is what being part of a forum is! It is give and take, not all take.

Kick started my early morning with Matcha, next was Sencha Premier from Adagio.
Have a FAB TeaDay everyone. 8)

What Shelob said! Actually, I really wanted an "All of the above" option more than any single option. The closest thing was "Discuss tea in general," so that's how I voted. But I've asked for lots of advice, and shared some tips, and so... pretty much everything else applies, too. (And the fellowship aspect ROCKS.)

Yes. It was labeled as a Huang Ni (yellow mud) pot but I don't think the exact same thing is currently on the site.

I came to TC to learn about tea in general and, at the time, Adagio specifically. I'd always been a tea drinker and decided to get more serious about it and did a search for "tea". Adagio came up, TeaChat came from there, lurked for a couple of months before joining (TC was the first place I'd ever posted anything on the internet) and now my happy tea addiction is hardcore.

Most of Colorado's front range had a snow day today. But sometime this morning the snow and wind stopped and the sun came out. I shoveled the drive and walks, grateful for a stocked kitchen, heat, and running water.

Today I've been drinking Chocolate tea blended with coconut tea and peppermint leaves. Now maybe onto a light oolong.

Very fun question.

I had to figure out what category to place my "story" in but I chose product information-- I was looking for information on Teavana (I had a bad experience with them) and and came across some ex-employee horror story type threads via a google search. I haven't left since.

(btw my daog bumpeda my tabale anda i sapilalaeda tea on my kaeyboarad... it tookaa me faorever to type thE ABOVE MESASAAGE becausae thisa isa what happensa when i type!#A HAHA NOW>>> omg my kaeyboarda isa jaackeda

Edit: On my wife's computer now. No I'm not drunk :) As i was trying to say... and as you can see I spilled some tea on my keyboard and the left side was freaking out. Haha... adding a's and putting caps lock on... couldn't take it off. And when I tried to click on an emotion... it opened a new window. Oh my. All messed up

Not the dog, but had a keyboard fry the same way.

There is nothing WORSE than discovering your laptop is toast by misadventure. Hope it's just a keyboard unit - they're cheap and easy to replace.

Tried a sencha sitting in the back of my tea stash area; left it too long, darn.

Came here trying to figure out why every cup I made turned out way too bitter. The accumulated advice and wisdom her is so wonderful I didn't want to leave. :)

Plus ever day it seems like I learn something new here now.

Started off the morning with Darjeeling second-flush, moved on to golden yunnan.
