I voted "Kind of..." because it's been warm, and springy, but apparently they're calling for snow monday and tuesday... But I'm not there right now, I'm in Orange Beach, Florida... It feels pretty good outside today, but they're calling for rain and cold all week, at least, so I've been told.

I'm missing my tea and teaware... I grabbed some of my Adagio tea bags, and three tins of tea, to tide me over for a little while. Let me go over yesterday first, since I wasn't able to post:

Yesterday's teaday was spent in a car! Started my day with some Kukicha at home, and I swear that brewing it in my kyusu has given me the first kukicha that I've truly enjoyed. Phenomenal improvement.

After that, I had a Zen green tea at Starbucks, since I had to be there for a school thing (I know, weird, right?) and wanted a little more caffiene. Followed that up once we got in the car for Florida with a bottle of Tazo Giant Peach Green Tea, with Apple and Peach Juice (Longest name ever...). It was pretty good, though not completely tea... After that I had some Naked Juice, and then McAllister's Sweet Tea with dinner.... It was interesting, and probably would have felt very lacking without the kukicha in the morning.

Starting today in florida with an Oregon Chai Original Chai Tea Latte (from concentrate!). My first time trying this, it's ok, I guess. I'm not really a chai drinker, though my mom and sister are.

Who knows what the rest of the day entails.

Raining and raining in New York. April showers!

I continue with the Yunnan Gold Tip tea. For some reason, in contrast to the first day I tried it, I'm getting many rich infusions!

I don't understand why this happens. I wish I could remember the magic words I must have uttered over the tea!

We've almost made it to spring in the Boston area. Piping plover, osprey, phoebes, and glossy ibis have started to appear but winter birds are still about too, so we're in the 'tween seasons.

Spring will be official in Boston when the magnolias on Commonwealth Ave and the daffodils and tulips in the Public Garden are all blooming.

Started the day with Tie Luo Han from Teaspring. Right now I'm finishing the last of my Ultimate Sencha from Zencha.

Flowers are blooming, the sky is blue, the air is warm... and pollen is everywhere :/
But at least it's beautiful.

About to brew a 2nd infusion of Assam Melody

absolutely, nice warm days, bulbs are coming up. The best part is my tea plants are getting their first flush. Today is a garden day for me. And, it is the first day of trout season in PA, good food coming up in the next week!

Yesterday it was trying to snow here, and one of my staff was snowed in at his house about 15 miles from work ... today it's sunny and beautiful! We have daffodils up but that's about it, even the trees aren't flowering yet. But there is hope!

Nilgiri Glendale Handmade this morning. The sun is so inspiring I might make some iced tea today for a change.

Kind of...the snow is melting at a good rate...no flowers yet but if it stays warm there should be tulips in a couple of weeks. There was snow a few days ago but it was the fluffy wet spring variety.

I had Jasmine dragon pearls today, I put a little bit of lemon juice in the cup for the second infusion it was delicious. :D

Enjoying some Assam Melody right now, while I'm taking a break from the sun and my book. Actually, might keep reading the book... I'm glad I decided to bring this tea with me. The other two I brought are two I don't have much knowledge of, and I'm not really feeling pressured to spend any time with them right now.

Kind of, at least it is not snowing... but raining almost everyday! I would give some rain to Darjeeling, if possible, as they are undergoing a serious drought (at least untill middle of March), very dangerous for the expected quality and quantity of FF tea!!
Well... my tulips bulbs are finally coming up and blooming in spite of heavy rain...they cannot wait one minute more :D

Just right now having a cup of my favourite Feng Huang Dan Cong :D

Hang in there Omegapd/Eric!

It looks like Spring finally ... almost, lots of dreary rainy days and low temps. Finally as the sun comes out, things will pop so fast you can almost here it.

I am watching our Japanese Maples every day, the buds are just about ready to open. Japanese Maples are one highlight of Spring for me, having a bunch of different varieties, each opens differently. Some of the differences are subtle and some quite striking. :D

Started the day with Fukamushi Supreme from O-Cha. Really delicious and so full bodied. SweeTea found it to her liking. Pyrit was joined by a rare visit by Kati.

Then off to Korean Markets near Philly. I thought we were going to "KoreaTown" and was hoping to check out teaware. But still came home with lots of food goodies anyway and a few grains for roasting to make "grain teas" that I have surprisingly come to enjoy quite a bit.

At a Korean restuarant for lunch, we were served a "tea" that I thought was corn tea, our Korean friend thought was barley tea, turned out it was corn and barley tea.

Snow in April. It could be worse. Snow in May? :D

I went with the Tie Guan Yin this morning, but have since shifted to a 1996 Menghai 8582 puerh. This stuff makes me quite happy.

Woah coincidence! Today I persuaded my husband to try his first Korean restaurant meal - a big hit, incidentally. The accompanying tea was tasty, but the waitress seemed unable to explain what it was (I thought it was corn tea), so she gave me a tea bag label and suggested I get more of the same at a nearby Korean grocery. Once I was there, I was pointed to the green tea. So, I bought some (bagged), just to see if it's the same. The experiments will begin tonight...

Spring has definitely sprung up here! The early spring flowers are in full bloom, as are some of our cherry trees. I haven't managed to get out with my camera just yet, but here is a photograph from last year at about the same time:

P.S. Just took a closer look at the tea I brought home, and discovered that it's made with Solomon's seal, i.e. dunggule cha (둥굴레차).
