My avatar is a kyusu that I chose from space's blog! I am awful w/ a camera and probably couldn't figure out how to download a pic on the computer without a major production...so, yeah, pretty said to admit
So, a spider was out of the question.

Anyway, it was suggested to me to try space's blog and I instantly fell in love w/many of his avatar shots, but this one was my fave!
Thanks again space samurai! 8) He is listed under TeaCritic for you guys who may want to find a nice Tea-Related avie  !

In my chawan, of course is matcha from O-Cha, this is one of the few teas I have in the house at this time.
Have a FAB TeaHoliday Weekend everyone. Hope it is blessed one.

I started out with a real picture of me... then a picture of Grace (my dog), and then stumbled upon the smiley stork image while downloading some smiley emoticons. Before finding the smiley, I'd found this panda,

which I thought seriously of using for an Asian flair... but the stork seemed a better representation of me. I wish he was carrying a teapot instead of a bundle of baby. LOL! He doesn't seem to want to animate (maybe this was disabled) as an avatar, but he has some nice flying action...

In my cup this morning is Margaret's Hope FF 2009 from Tea Emporium. Now I'm thinking.... something green. I really need some new oolongs.

My avatar is (currently) of the cranes from my 1000 paper cranes project, which I am showing here.

In my cup this morning... nothing yet. I stumbled out of bed because Murphy was asking to go out, then landed in my computer chair and can't motivate myself to get back up for tea.

My avatar is a photo I took with my phone. It's a view from within Imperial Tea Court in Berkeley, looking out to the garden through the Moon Gate. You can see all the tea things on the table too. It's a place where I have spent a lot of time - drinking tea, talking to friends, hanging out, reading, writing, meeting people... etc. So, it's very personal - a view I've shared many times and one I find quite lovely.

Today more Rose Red from Tea Gallery :-) Mmmm... I love it when the scents from tea come back to you through the day. This natural rosy red tea haunts me like a nice fragrant oolong.

My avie is me, I am Mt. Fuji! Well, maybe not, but Fuji is the home to my TeaCave, well, maybe not. But it has been Mt. Fuji for around 2 years. I change it to other shots of Fuji periodically, and generally with tea fields. Strange how a mountain can have a certain appeal to me.

Perhaps because I have always thought about climbing mountains, like Everest? Fortunately, I value my toes too much and lack the 40,000 USD required to make it so.

Began the TeaDay with Takumi sencha from Zencha, Yame yummy! SweeTea found it to be delicious. Lili made a rare TeaTable appearance along with regulars Pyrit, Gandalf, and Koi.

Currently thinking about  , til then genmai/mugi minus the cha.

I hope everyone is having a delicious TeaDay.
blah blah blah SENCHA blah blah blah!!!

I change it periodically and there is no meaning to it. @ chip I think Ando Horoshige has some stunning prints of Mt Fuji and their graphic nature would be well suited for an avatar.

Will have some Violet Spring tea from the Strand Tea Company in a minute.

My avatar is simply a photo of a cup from my wedding china.

XX chromosomes here, too.

Yunnan Gold in the mug. I let the last cup steep too long and wow...astringent.
Although my neighbors are all barbarians,
And you, you are a thousand miles away,
There are always two cups on my table.

gingko wrote:My avatar is the calligraphy on a kyusu. The pattern is why I bought the kyusu, otherwise it's really too big for me to use and so far it's just decoration. It's a sentence saying "7 times falling down and 8 times standing up, that is life". I love the attitude it reflects :D
I'd really like to see a pic of your kyusu. :)

In my cup this morning: Neela - a favorite Nilgiri from ToT.

Have a nice day everyone!

My avatar is the one I use for Flickr ( I am LA GIARDINIERA , the gardener) as I like to take flowers, animals and nature pics. I took this blu gentiana picture some years ago during summer holidays in Val di Funes, Alto Adige mountains, north-east Italy.
Probably I am going to change avatar in the future and it will be some other flower!

March crocus in my garden!

Unfortunately no time today for tea... I hope this evening to have the time to sit down and have a good cup for myself :(

It's Alice at her mad tea party! I found it on some website which had a lot of tea related avatars. Alice in Wonderland was my favorite Disney movie growing up, and also, I'm a bit mad myself. 8)

Once I find my camera I want to change it to a picture of some piece of teaware I use.

Caramel apple black in my cup. The zoji is filled for this lazy rainy day. I'm sensing some sencha, TKY and maybe some phoenix later on.
