Nope. I wouldn't want to own a tearoom; I'd rather just be a customer. And since I don't speak Chinese or understand the culture, I'd be dead in the water as soon as I arrived.

Nice try Chamekke. I thought about making it Asia, or Japan ...

TBH, I had always thought about what it would be like to live in China and Japan. It would be a major lifestyle, cultural change, and even frightening. But I would be leaning towards "yes." Knowing someone there would be very important. Involvement in tea would be very key as well.

So, please TeaChatters from China, do not ask me!

Began the TeaDay with Den's Zuiko asamushi-cha in my fave Hagi set, still not shared on the Hagi pages. SweeTea enjoyed this great asamushi. Precious made a very rare appearance to the TeaTable, followed by Pyrit (who may not like tea, but likes Teabiscuits is seems), Wulong perched shoulder top, and the Lil Bit.
blah blah blah SENCHA blah blah blah!!!

I know I'm in the minority, but I would move to China. The dear spouse would be all over it, too! We love travelling, our jobs are relatively flexible (besides, I'll be working in a tea room!), and China is a fascinating place to be. Sounds like a winner. :)

Drinking a private label blend this morning (Assam, unknown oolong that looks like TGY, and rose hips). I'm not a fan of blended teas, but this one is not as bad as it sounds.

Hmmm... I already voted, but I agree with Chamekke that I'd consider it if the destination was Japan, but I'm not sure why??? Japan seems less mysterious to me even though I don't know the culture or the language, I suppose because of the relationship that our countries have had for the last 60 years.

I still have a wicked flu so I'm nurturing myself with Takumi.
I've had difficulty keeping good Japanese greens fresh for more than 48 hours so I'm now moving 20 grams at a time from the bag to a double-lidded tea canister and then vac-packing the bag between withdrawals. So far so good! Takumi from the second withdrawal tastes pretty fresh.

No interest in relocating to China or SE Asia, certainly not for anything as exotic as a tea shop.

Keemun this morning.

Nah, sounds like too risky of a venture to me. I'm not that gutsy of a person.

This morning - Yame Sencha the ultimate ala zencha.

Good stuff.

I dont think so. It would be interesting and exciting to have a brand new life, run a tea room, but... definitely not...Italy for me is the best place to be!! (it sounds like an advertising but it is what I am thinking right now)

Kenya black Marinyn this morning and Feng Huang Dan Cong in the afternoon :D

No way, I wouldn't be able to marry my gf in China, I'd much rather stay in Canada where I can.

I actually don't think I'd even want to visit China.

Nilgiri Glendale in my cup today.

I'm preparing for a 4-day field trip with my daughter's 4th grade class starting tomorrow - I'm not sure if it will be fun or exhausting or both!

I'd move to Italy for a business opportunity in a heartbeat! And I'd think seriously about Japan. Although a tea room still wouldn't be my choice of businesses.

Yes if... It was Inner Mongolia, I could speak Chinese and write it, maybe knew a little Mongolian (I always thought their script was pretty), and I could also help with China's exploding infrastructure.
Or maybe if they gave me a yixing pot that was so conditioned that I would no longer need tea leaves to make tea hahaha.

The planets would have to align on that.

In my cup this afternoon: White Peony

Japan is much more compelling than China, still I'd turn that down also
I guess.

No. I don't speak the language, and couldn't bring my cat with me! I'd definitely visit China, though.

Currently having some Rishi TGY with my leftover Chinese food.[/i]
