I find it virtually impossible to throw a tea tin away. I will try to reuse it for tea, teagifting, etc. But sometimes it ends up in a box for future use that may never come, but sometimes does!
I also like to display Asian tins as most of you already know.
Began the TeaDay with ... SHINCHA. Magokoro from Yuuki-Cha to be exact. SweeTea would not miss this opp! Pyrit, Wulong, and Koi paid tribute to this very first shincha arrival.
Having just opened this last night and taking my first stab at it this morning, I need to work on the brewing a bit. Organics seem to be a more challenging in brewing than conventionally grown Japanese teas. This does not bother me in the least however.

I use the full-sized ones for other teas. Right now I have a decent number of empties but that's only because I try to match tea types (especially on flavored teas) so if there is any scent left, it won't make a difference - so no Earl Grey in my oolong. The sample sized ones I use to give teas to others.
Spearmint + cream today. I'm buzzing a bit and have nothing to do. Yay for video on my iPod.
I am an admin but I'm pretty sure I will get nothing today. Why? Because I did not order myself anything and if I don't do it, it rarely gets done. Go admins!
Happy anniversary Chip. I got you nothing.

I use mine for storing other tea--there are always samples/small bags floating around
Started the day off with a cup of TGY (Superior?) from Rich Barbarian, about to switch to Den's Sakura Sencha (found it in my local Uwajimaya last night!!!) Very excited about the latter after reading all the rave reviews here.

I can relate to that! Ha!auggy wrote:I am an admin but I'm pretty sure I will get nothing today. Why? Because I did not order myself anything and if I don't do it, it rarely gets done. Go admins!
Happy Anniversary Chip! I was beginning to think it might be International Shincha Day and I forgot to get you a card.

In my work cup a nice AliShan to start my day.

Ahh... that explains the mysterious (to me) question.Drax wrote:Um, Chamekke -- I think Chip was referring to it being Administrative Professional's Day (at least in the US), formerly known as Secretary's Day.
{blush} Thanks!
P.S. Note to self ... MUST READ THREAD IN FULL before posting comment.
Happy Anniversary, Chip!

No disrespect to Kant... his name happens to kick off the Philosophers' Drinking Song, that's all.dooble wrote:Really?
