Hope you like your new schedule- I'll miss you here. How often does your schedule change?omegapd wrote:80% Black tea, with Pu-erh and the occasional green thrown in.
This will be my last post for awhile. My schedule at work will be changing and I won't be able to get on here at night like I used to when things slowed down. I've enjoyed my time here and may pop in occasionally to say hi. Take care, everyone.

What he said.
Trey opined: "I'll guesstimate about 70 percent. My tea selection has expanded considerably these last couple of years."
I usually include a favorite in my tea-day, but must work to cultivate and expand my list of 'go-to' teas to those new to me, because when one is under stress, adapting to change can be difficult.
Sorry to hear that you won't be joining us regularly, Eric. However, if it means that you're going to day-shift and back to a normal circadian rhythm, it's to your benefit for reasons of personal health and family quality time.
You can still channel TC on your days off. :-)
Mint tea in my cup.

Currently in my cup, Ali Shan from Adagio. I have started every morning for the last 8 months with a Japanese green and then move on to other types of teas throughout the day. My 'guesstimation' for my fave type of tea would be 80+%.

Hope everyone is enjoying their tea on this wonderful TeaDay

I put 20+ but that was just a total off the cuff choice. Half of my tea is black (morning) so the other half of my tea would have the potential for being my favorite, so half of half is 25%. So that's how I picked that. But really it is higher - I brew what I feel like having and usually what I feel like having is probably what my favorite is at the moment with the possible exception of morning blacks, but even then I brew whatever black I'm in the mood for. So yeah. No clue.
Spent Thurs - Sun with friends from Japan. Was SO much fun but I was exhausted afterward. Slept most of yesterday. And she brought me shincha!!! I've tried it once so far but brewed it wrong due to lack of a scale (left it at my parents' house). But even too much leaf in water too hot, it was surprisingly sweet. And it smells soooo good. Bitter tail but that one was my fault, I could tell. So I should have my scale tomorrow and will break it out to see about getting some better...
Almond biscotti tea this morning. Without my scale I am not consistent enough to make large batches of tea. It was not good this morning.

Well I had quite a shock when I came into work today. The huge tree in our parking lot that is well over 100 + years old, had broken and fallen. I know it may be hard to tell from the pics but all that area of green on the ground is the broken tree. In the last pic you can see how hard it fell, as it is embedded into the asphalt.
I am sad because I fought very hard through two different presidents to keep this tree from being cut down. I am such a tree hugger it is embarrassing how sad I feel and upset over loosing this stoic beauty. It filled the upstairs windows with its lush foliage and orange flowers that complimented our decor perfectly. The tree was alive with hummingbirds darting in and out continually. Now out the window is the stark whiteness of the bank next door. And the buzz of the chain saw fills the office.

So in my cup is a '09 FF Darjeeling from Soom Estate as I try and drown out the sound.
