^^i really like how that piece was carved hooksie!
here's something a bit different. this is a fornell tengu-yu tokkuri that i use as a sharing pitcher. i've got a number of tokkuri, and since i don't drink a whole latta sake i use a few as sharing pitchers instead. i think they're more interesting than the traditional porcelain sharing pitchers anywayz.
and to clarify what's in the background..it's a vase by jay strommen (with a fake flower..smack me now). i love that vase!!!!

My new ebony tea tray arrived. Solid and heavy.
Almost heavier 3 times than my previous bamboo tray.

LOVE that tray... gorgeous!
***This organic blend is earthy & spicy, with a fragrant aroma & smooth flavor to captivate the senses. Naturally sweetened in the Kentucky sunshine & infused with natural energy. Equally delicious when served piping hot or crisply chilled.***

Indeed, two very handsome chawan, Olivierco! You exhibit an impeccable sense taste as always.
Lamppost, I also have the Stéphane pot that looks like that. A very nice, heavy pot. I got it because
Tenuki was so happy with his. I think he liked it especially for Bao Zong, IIRC.

A partial shot of my travel gaiwan tea set...it came in a travel bag and everything, really awesome! Also the Kyoto Journal on tea and some Phoenix single grove honey fragrance Oolong from Teance. Yeah, I'm a teance fiend...mostly because its just so easy to drive there and just pick up tea!
The tray is from Ikea
