!!! Happy Memorial Day !!!

Thanks to all who are currently serving and to those who have served! Our hearts remember those who have made the ultimate sacrifice to protect our freedom. And to their families left behind, we will never forget.

Yes, have holiday plans and tea figures into them. - But it is a quiet day at home. My Sister-in-law is coming over and we are working on jewelry together. Since I have so many new teas in this week, tea will definitely figure in!

In my cup this morning FF Balasun from Sarah via Tea Emporium. And yes, although the same harvest, this tea is nicer than what I bought at Special Teas.

Have a nice day everyone!

My mum gave me tub of honey yesterday and today I spotted some full cream Jesrsey milk I haven't tried yet at the supermarket.

The stars have aligned and are pointing at the little pack of chai I have in the cupboard.

I will be getting together with friends, but their idea of tea is the bagged stuff. Until then, I'll enjoy my own until I go.

No big plans for today...just time spend with family, maybe some BBQ and friends stopping by later.

Already enjoyed a nice home-made breakfast...well mostly home-made, my grandma's recipe breakfast sausage and gravy and biscuits from the dairy case. Everyone enjoyed this morning's tea, teasouce's 1508 Nilgiri Glendale Estate. For them to compliment the tea is really something major. This tea is very nice, so smooth and silky in the mouth.

It is muggy warm here today, so I expect that again today we'll be drinking LOTS of iced tea!

I'm sending all my good vibes and gratitude today to all those who have served and I'm especially mindful of those who have lost their lives in service to our country.

Have a great day, all,
Dreamer

Thanks to those who have served, we owe you a great debt.

Ooops, sorry to the non USA members, I try to remember to include this exception to the OP on American holidays, forgot again today however.

It was a busy weekend with my family in from all over the country, and yesterday "relaxing" at my mother-in-law's when she was not looking for things around her house for us to do.

Today is a relaxing day at home with the cats, tea, and DW.

Began the TD with Kirameki shincha from O-Cha, reallllly a great session in my fave Hagi set, have to share that with TeaChat one of these days. SweeTea imbibed, while Wulong, Pyrit and Gandalf hung out.
 thinking green, have not had near enough tea this holiday weekend.

Just relaxing and enjoying a very rare Monday off. Ti Kuan Yin iced now. Contemplating whipping up a batch of matcha sorbet. Happy Memorial Day to all. :D

My big plans for the day included tea all morning (which I have done) with some quiet lazy time at home... nice. And now, I am on my way out the door to the ball field to watch my nephew playing in the regional high school baseball tournament. We've had a rain delay already, so I'm hoping for clear skies for the afternoon. Gonna take some iced tea and eat some greasy ballpark food.

In my cup this morning was Kiri no Mori matcha... mmm... some iced tea made with Adagio's Thai Chai, very crisp! And currently, some sublime Margaret's Hope White Darjeeling FF 2009... so good.

Take me out to the balllllgame...

Sarah
***This organic blend is earthy & spicy, with a fragrant aroma & smooth flavor to captivate the senses. Naturally sweetened in the Kentucky sunshine & infused with natural energy. Equally delicious when served piping hot or crisply chilled.***

While I do not wish start a flame war and I think it's great that people are enjoying a day at the beach or a cook out, Memorial Day is not a politically neutral event, especially when considered in TeaChat's international context. Amidst all of this praise and thanks to soldiers, it would be morally irresponsible if at least one person (in this case I have elected myself) did not point out that without soldiers there would be no war and that no country -- including the United States -- has a flawless record when it comes to killing masses of people under the guise of patriotism.

Just saying ... providing one lone voice. Again: without soldiers, no war.

Despite that wet blanket, I hope everyone is enjoying their holiday and the camaraderie of TeaChat.

A world without conflict is a nice fantasy. Thankfully men and women have served and sacrificed their lives for our freedoms in reality.
"You want the taste of dried leaves in boiled water?"

"Er, yes. With milk."

"Squirted out of a cow?"

"Well, in a manner of speaking I suppose ..."

I'd like to lend a plus one to that Sal.

In Scotland today is a considered a bank holiday, and I work at the bank :D

Some Giddapahaur FF in my cup atm, the chai was a nice change but it's good to be back on uncut stuff.
