I voted maybe - usually no but sometimes I get in a mood for a certain tea and so I have had the same afternoon tea for 2 or 3 days in a row. It's rare but I don't rule it out.
Caramele in my cup this morning.
I'm tired and bored and cranky.
But on the plus side, I finally got the hang of the shincha my friend brought me from Japan. Might need a little tweaking, but it is close enough to be good enough to call it. Only took me 6 tries.

I cannot recall having the same tea twice in the same day, acute need for variety, despite the fact that most sessions are 5 steeps. But then I need something else even if it is the same type of tea such as secha, it still has to be different.
I began the TD with a new Yame prefecture Takumi sencha from Zencha, very unique sencha and really satisfies my need for something different. SweeTea appreciated a new tea while Pyrit, TEAh, and Koi hung out.

blah blah blah SENCHA blah blah blah!!!
Im sorry to hear about your katsura Herb MasterHerb_Master wrote:Nice photo Sal, but it is not cheering me up today!Salsero wrote:I think an emphatic NEVER is the appropriate answer here for me.
One of my Maples is dying - katsura, and I don't know why![]()
I voted Yes, I cycle round my teas, but each tea I come to I have 2, 3 or 4 sessions with before moving on.
Sometimes just because it is the tea I am ON!
Sometimes to try different brewing tactics, or compare Gaiwan and Yixing!
Or sometimes just because I love it and don't want to say goodbye to an Old Friend even though there are New Friends knocking at the door, ringing the phone or shouting "Drink ME" down the chimney!
I almost never make the same tea twice consecutively unless I mess-up the first infusion or if Its a new tea that I think I can make better. Although my sessions sometimes go on for days with puerh or whites.
Bai Hao Yin Zhen in my cup from yesterday again. Its too delicate of a white for me though.

I drink the same tea pretty much every morning, as it's more caffeine delivery system than anything when I'm just waking up. It's never bothered me! For the rest of the day, I go with whatever I feel like drinking -- and sometimes this means having two sessions of the same tea a few hours apart.
Started the day with an Assam blend, and am now having a different Assam blend to combat the rain-induced laziness.

Yes, on a very rare occasion - If I have something exceptional for breakfast, I might brew again later in the day. This will sometimes happen with a new tea. But it's pretty rare.
'09 FF Darjeeling Oolong in my cup this morning, a new favorite.
Have a nice day everyone!

I was wondering this actually, the stems and nodes were not looking very momiji-like ... sorry about your Katsura Herb_Master!Salsero wrote:While I share everyone's concern about the sickly maple, these leaves are actually from a Sweetgum tree (Liquidambar styraciflua) not a Maple (genus Acer).
... so, how about some "new" momiji teaware instead? If you do not know already, momiji is a fave teaware theme in this house! This set is so whimsical, the leaves are like living balloons.

In the momiji cup today is Sae Midori from O-Cha!

Are sweetgums the ones with the little round, almost golf-ball sized spikey things? Such fond memories of hurting my feet on those. Reminds me of my grandma's house.Salsero wrote:While I share everyone's concern about the sickly maple, these leaves are actually from a Sweetgum tree (Liquidambar styraciflua) not a Maple (genus Acer).
