Occasionally for me. Maybe once a week or so. I have a lot of tea, and although I enjoy whites in general, I don't seem to get to them that often.

Starting my day with TeaMasters 2009 Baozhong.
Just excellent.

Have a nice day everyone!

It is weird, I truly love Yin Zhen when I have it, and it is a good one. Yet I never crave it in advance ... thus I rarely have it. I guess that would be irony?

But when I do, it is divine. My most recent one was very good and from our host Adagio. It had a lot of fruity character which was a bit of a shocker.

Began the TD with Yutaka Midori from O-Cha. I think I have pretty well figured it out. It is milder than last year which was so full and flavorful that I feel I was spoiled by it. SweeTea liked this preparation while Wulong and Pyrit just took up TeaTable space.

Very rarely. It's probably been a year or more since I last had Silver Needles, actually. When the white tea urge hits, I tend to go for Bai Mu Dan.

Enjoying some of Den's Tencha-Kuki Houjicha with lunch.

Yes, while some have "tea" names, some have Lord of the Ring names, my fave "book" of all time, and some are just cute names. There is usually a gathering at the TeaTable in the morning.

Moved on to O-Cha Fukamushi Supreme, which is aptly named.

If not O-Cha has a similar one. Actually I thought it was the O-Cha one. :)

In my work cup this afternoon 2009 LiShan for Floating Leaves Tea.
I have re-ordered this beauty, one of my fave '09 oolongs.

Thanks for the tip! The O-Cha one looks nice, but it seems to be a little stouter with a bigger foot and I am worried the porcelain may not be as eggshell thin. I have a lot of little white cups, but this one really stands out.

I tried an unflavored white tea that may or may not have been Silver Needles once and did not care for it much. This was in the beginning of my loose leaf exploration so I had very little idea of how to brew it and failed at getting any type of flavor from the tea at all. The leaves were nifty though. I may try it at some point, but right I have no motivation to do so.

Currently in my cup is Earl Grey. In the other cup is iced Apricot Green tea. In my father's cup is Blood Orange Rooibos since he was not brave enough to have caffeine this late at night. He actually liked the Rooibos, which is good, though he does have a bit of cold and can't really taste it very well.

Hi folks. I haven't been around much lately. Sadly, I don't see my situation improving any time soon.

I drink more yellow silver needles than white, but I do like Adam's Peak silver needles from Sri Lanka. Started the day with Jing's Shui Jin Gui, and finished with Sugimoto SA Sencha for lunch.

Hi All,

I had a sample of Silver Needles from Adagio...I enjoy it, but haven't been moved to order more. It is one of those "I like knowing it's there" kind of teas for me.

This morning I brewed up a 3 parts Assam Hazelbank (#251) from specialteas with 1 part Ceylon Lumbini (from teasource). On its own, the Assam is a good solid tea for me. The Ceylon Lumbini has a LOT of flavor. The combo was fabulous!
The 2nd and 3rd steeps chilled together made great iced tea, too.
I'm looking forward to the same blend in the morning!

Happy sipping, All,
Dreamer
