Just last year, a nice piece Bian Yuan from the same maker/era closed at around 14k USD in Japan (i made a feeble bid at 6k though.. but there were many other bidders with much deeper pockets >.<). :wink:

I bought this pot locally...replica I guess. Lovely high fired clay. The sonorous ring sold me on it as I wanted a good high fired pot for TW oolong.

Very different pots there. Although, the one Kya posted is or was for sale with an asking price of 12k usd.
