I gotta admit, I wondered the same thing. The way the two use language are just similar enough to raise my suspicions. Britt's currently posting from 63 different IP addresses whereas cupioneer has posted 8 from 3 different IPs. None are in common, though, and the geographical locations are pretty different. I'm gonna use Occam's razor on this one and declare two separate people. :)

Yay parsimony!
WTF?? 63 different IP addresses? Where the hell is this guy posting from? Almost makes me wonder if he's passing through an anonymizer or routing through some random places to hide his anonimity.

63 is a lot...but tons of IPs aren't uncommon. Mocha and Karia (our only two banned users) had a ton, too. If you are one of those people who use internet-capable cell phones or whip out your laptop at every available WiFi point, you can rack 'em up without trying. Or if you're poor and go to lots of libraries. :)

GGU: Are there any other logical fallacies that you haven't called him on yet?

Heh. it's a thing of mine. It's part of my background I guess... the one I escaped. Logical fallacies are a way of life in indoctrination, so when you get out, you tend to be hyperaware of them in a discussion.

Britt seems to exist by them. He seems to be incapable of making an argument that does not mainly consist of distraction, strawman arguments, ad hominems, begging the question, proof by assertion, appeals to emotion, etc.

And I'm going to have to mildly object being censored on pointing out his statements about global warming are a strawman argument. I understand why it got removed (and thanks for the PM. :) ) but gah... global warming? Hahaha! Gotta love the guy who claims to be "open minded" but is so utterly sure all the data on climate change is completely fabricated.

I have a feeling that this guy would choke if he knew what went into some clays and glazes that are considered safe.

Man... I was going to post something about "fake" really only meaning "almost the same clay but from somewhere else" and/or "slipcasted" (or whatever, not made right at any rate), but then he whipped out this:
You want data like the false data supplied to support the global warming myth? That's anything but scientific.

I'm so tempted to ask him if he buys expensive fancy arsenic free glass cups to drink out of out of fear of arsenic or if he won't drink from crystal due to the lead content.

I won't please everyone on this move. The topic is moved as I promised in my last post. I know Mary is getting ready for her move, so I am not going to be pushing the issue much, she has enough stress on her plate I am sure.

Anyway, it is just not worth it, he is not worth it. If I had not pulled the topic, my words would have been pretty hollow.

This time if the topic is returned, it will be very core. But please do not hold your breath, comrades.
