Make sure you verify they are lefty kyusus when you order. In fact, verify everything that is important to you when you order. filter type, etc.

Victoria I LOVE that kyusu. So beautiful. I wish I could afford the smaller one that's on that artist's page. Post pictures of it in use when you can!

Thanks danibob, I will. Yes I very much liked the smaller one too. The petal lid is so cute. I had a hard time deciding between the two. It has been raining and overcast here, or I'd post more pics. I also have a new purple  chawan.

Very attractive, Victoria! The shape is so gorgeous, and I like the detailing on the lid and handle.

Nice hagi yunomi. I have one of those as well and I use it for hojicha. I love the look of the hoji seeped in the cracks.

Got the first of two shipments from Dragon Tea House today. This is part of a larger set with a sharing pitcher and six aroma cup sets but I haven't had a chance to photograph it all.

Very Nice looking pot you have there! I think Gordon is really a "Stand Up" guy. I just received my very first order from him. I was heartbroken when I saw this! Especially considering how long it took me to find one of these with the stove!
Image
I emailed him and explained that there was nothing wrong with the boxes and that he had shipped them in excellent packaging. The stove was just broken when I opened the box. I did not expect him to offer a replacement, but he did and for that I am grateful and will give him much more of my business. Thanks again, Gordon!

By the way, these are very expensive and seem to be extremely fragile, but I still love it. It really adds a special experience to tea making.

That is a nightmare, I always wake up sweating when I dream about my next order arriving like that. Is that kettle made from this new Purion material, because I see it is unglazed on the inside, I read about Purion on Lin`s ceramic site, and I always wanted one of those. And another question I`d like to ask, I saw that Micro LPG burner, would that fit inside of the base, so that I could heat the kettle on the LPG burner, and than swap it to alcool burner during the tea session?

My new guinomi (sake cup) that is also perfectly sized for a smaller teacup at just 2.75" wide. It is a sweeTea. Yamane Seigan's cosmic line.

Picked up this teabowl today at school, from a local ceramics grad student. He said it was soda-fired. The dimensions of the bowl are great for making matcha. May be my favorite acquisition thusfar!
Sorry for the quality of the pictures, I took them at night.

Really nice orange sunburst with dark specks. The colors are a bit brighter in person.
Image

I like the green glaze on the rim, you can see it dripping into that petal-like fold in this picture. You can also see the crackles on the outside rim that are even more noticeable on the inside rim of the bowl.
Image

The inside is speckled very nicely, almost like seasoned cast iron. Sorry it is so hard to see in these pictures, they don't do it justice.

Lots of new additions for me lately. The kyusu came from Hibiki-an and the cups are from the Ito En store in NYC. The colors aren't quite right since all of the pieces are metallic and glossy. But it gives a general idea.
