Thanks. I know this end has a function, but the artistic aspect in itself has me displaying my teaware up-side down from time to time. The finger prints, finished or unfinshed clay, cuts... the textures, all fascinate me.

Woohoo, got a new hagi piece today. Really lovely. Its smaller than others (just around 10cm wide), of the same style I've seen but very comfortable in both hands.

Really cool on the bottom. Have to drink quickly to appreciate the streakiness inside and on the footer.Chip wrote:interesting color streaking.

This one might be a little out of place, but arrived together.
An extremely cute, lovely vase by Seigan Yamane. Heavier than it looks but smaller than it appears. One of my favorite pieces from Seigan already. It really gives me a cozy feeling.

Here is some new to me hagi-Yaki
I don't know much about these and can't really make out the calligraphy. Anyone is welcome to chime in who can read calligraphy.
This is a set of five kumidashi-wan, while they look like sencha cups they are actually cups brought out to guests to allow them to sample the water that will be used during a tea gathering.

I wondered about those sets of five.....I found a few boxes of them in my chinatown tea shop. They were obviously not as carefully made as a proper chawan, but quite nice to hand out to my office tea buddies.
