I think the question is "how do you sleep with all that caffeine in your system?"
Hehe, I have ADHD, so actually caffeine has the reverse affect on me. caffeine will calm me and concentrate me. So I can drink weather before bed and not be effected.

Review of 2007 Mengku Lao Banzhang.

dry leaves; 9
aroma; 8
taste; 8
wet leaves; 8
value for price; 6
aging ?; 10

overall; 49/60 or 82%

I liked this sheng a good bit overall. The only thing is the price, I truly feel that $16 per 100g really isnt worth it, INHO. I am comparing these results with the 2008 mengahi 8582 blend. As this sheng was better than the 8582 It wasn't good enough to pay that price. This cake is very strong and lasts a long time and that is why I gave it a 10 in the aging department, should age great. But as I said before 8582 blend sells for $3.75/100g. where this is $16/100g. Overall great tea but dont know about the price, .

 Then I must be ADHD or ADD or whatever too! I really don't have a problem with caffeine either. Friday I went to get a latte to wake up after putting together a proposal until 9:00 p.m. I felt alert for 30-60 minutes -- then I felt horrible! It really wasn't worth the fleeting alertness I experienced. I had to switch to tea. I really don't get the "buzz", and especially not so drinking tea.

So, when that pu ehr box wispers to me from a deep sleep at 2:00 a.m., I feel no shame in answering. . .

The Pu Ehr Pass Box, PEPB, is in the house of Augie. Arrived at work, safe and sound and I have already dug for the Shu! It's so hard not to tear the whole thing apart like my 2 boys do with a huge box with a new lego project! I even got off my @%$ and cleaned my kitchen so I can start brewing at sunrise!

Heh that was fast only 2 days to arrive at your place. How big is the box now when I sent my samples off it was a 4" x 6" bubble wrap envelope, so after the snowball effect of collecting it must be a substantial size now.

Show some pics if possible just interested how huge it must be.

Shogun, you did an awesome pack job! It all fits together like a puzzle. I will definately work on a visual presentation today. I have a sick 7 year old. So this is a great opportunity to be housebound for a weekend.

FedEx guy walks in when I am submitting an award for my employer online. My computer was running extra, extra slow (yesterday only) and I had 15 minutes to upload it all and I wanted to open the box SO bad and just had to sit there and look at it!

thanks, thanks, thanks, everybody!

Over the years, I've seen so many passarounds die on the vine.

It's nice to see this thread flourishing with 5,000 veiws now. Long live the box!

$6.00 that's being shipped at a loss, last week I send something weighing less than 50 grams for $9 CAD

Did you imbibe the Fedex agent with your tea concoction or something, how much would fee be if shipped to Canada?

Shipping costs seem really wierd sometimes. Like when I got the oolong box pass and set it along, I only paid like 8 bucks to send it to Chip and that one was nearly 10 pounds.

If the box decides to make a 2nd round, I would love to be on the next pass. I didn't join this one because I wasn't sure if I even liked pu... but thanks to some nice samples from Abx, I am now really interested in exploring it more. Let me know if the box goes for Round 2!

Here is the short, sloppy video Emmer helped me make over the weekene. Yes, I make pu totally wrong, so please watch while seated and avert your eyes if you become sick or nauseated.

The box definately needs another go-around. I have been on the list for the Oolong Pass box since June and haven't seen it yet. . .
