I see you've got an "interrupted" yunomi on the right. Aren't they fabulous? I love the way mine sweats.

Yes, its my favorite of the three cups, it looks and feels like it's made out of rock.karmaplace wrote:I see you've got an "interrupted" yunomi on the right. Aren't they fabulous? I love the way mine sweats.

Beauties Tobias. I guess I need one of the "accidents" too.
Not to mention Chawan-s.

Greenwoodstudio cups, I like how the left one feels in the hand, it's quite comfortable and I ended up ordering another one of those, the right one was a free gift.

I haven't posted here in a while! I just won some new chawan on YJA, and I can't wait for them to arrive.
In the meantime, this is a Tamba-yaki chawan by Tansen Ichino (who also goes by Ichino Kiyoharu). This was put up for auction several times, and each time no one bid on it. By the time it hit the $9.99 mark I asked my friend if she would get it for my Christmas present. It has become one of my favorite chawan to use, and I still can't believe no one wanted it!

The meimei-zara is from the tea ceremony demonstration at the Kitano Odori, the annual spring dance performed by the maiko and geiko of Kamishichiken.

Do kettles count? I just got this Arare style tetsubin.
It just came in today and I have yet to use it. Please let me know what you think. Some of them have a handle (top and lid handle) that is hollow. Must make it for cooler grip. Hard to tell the age. Any ideas?
Thanks!

Very "handsome" hob-nail (?) tetsubin.

Unfortunately, I know next to nothing about tetsubin kettles.

Definitely not. That's a lovely pot with fine details. Happy to see it inside and out!BioHorn wrote: Are these too many photos?

So lucky to find this lost cousin....

A 50ml gaiwan from the 70's. Hiding somewhere in my auntie's house in New Jersey since she moved here in the early 70's.
