I was going to say, this one is only 300mL! Same price point, though.

Interesting that on this one, and a couple of others, he wrote his age, or at least, I'm assuming that's what it is.... 72 years old (七十二才).

In that case, and under the circumstances ($10?), you should fetch it immediately! Such a nice fat fish. :)

But how about these fishes? I thought they were goofy and gaudy at first, after first gasp, but they are essence of brook trout,

and who's to argue with such excellent intimacy with fish-ness? I now think they're amazing, in fact, beautiful, very skilled, bold, and nothing else like them. I suspect they're love 'em or hate 'em items. Can't decide if I want to drink tea from them...

Those are pretty interesting pieces.. nice surface decorations. The cup I posted was made by the famous Kinjo Jiro, who when living, was a living treasure for Okinawan mingei pottery. It will probably sell for a few hundred $$$ alas..

I'm tempted! I love how he draws the prawns.. I scored a vase of his (cheap!) on ebay a few years ago and I really like it. It's super-crude and clunky, with great hakeme marks. Would be cool to add another piece. these sake cups are delightful too. http://one-jp.com/lot/o29283853 :D

It's currently not bad at $116 with 5 days to go. Wonder how high it'll get pushed? I unfortunately have limits.

I'm guessing under $300..? but sadly, I'm not a banker either, or clairvoyant.

79,000 yen with 4 days to go, I think you might have to add a 0 to your estimate

That's for the guinomi set, not the yunomi.. This potters work does command a high price though.
