Sorry for the long absence. I have been busy polishing up a few books to be published in 2010 and 2011: a tea brewing manual and a book on tea and zen. I also took a long trip to Malaysia to promote the new book and spend time with the Master.

Both my books are now available at amazon and your local bookstore. If they don't have it, they can certainly order it and asking them to do so would be great. Also, if you order one from amazon, please post a review--good or bad.

I have been painting only weekly recently as I have two deadlines early this year for books that will come out later in 2010 and one in 2011. Also, I am working hard (and nearly finished) with the latest issue of The Leaf (#7). Issue 8 of The Art of Tea is already in print as well.

I will try to get some more paintings up here before, or just after, Chinese New Year. I hope all of you had a wonderful holiday season, and are enjoying a warmed soul if you're in a cold place.

Sorry if this was asked before (13 pages!) but do you sell your paintings? I would love to buy one if they aren't too much (If I was you, I'd charge a lot, they are great! :D)

EDIT: Sorry, checking your links I see you sell your art on there. Your prices are very reasonable! Incredible artwork.

Thanks! I do try to keep them affordable. I don't paint for a living, and I wouldn't ever wish to. I think financial motivations too-easily taint the purity of art. Some of my agents who display my art have asked that I raise prices, increasing profits for their galleries. But I would like anyone to be able to take a piece home and help brighten their tea space with some of the spiritual energy I pour into my tea and art. That is worth more to me than all the money in the world.
