Lovely warm peach colors on that one. Bet it's gorgeous with matcha.
Re: The unofficial/official HAGI topic!
A nice touch is the koudai, which is a different super rough clay, oni-type clay i think:)

After years of drooling over this thread... I finally get to join in the Hagi love!
I've been wanting some pieces with this specific glaze and fell in love the moment I saw these two, particularly with their shapes. There's another gorgeous cup I'll save for a separate post. I'm inaugurating them with a green rolled oolong, though I haven't yet decided what tea I'm going to dedicate them to.

A new piece from Yamane Seigan, via Magokorodo on eBay....something I'd been watching for a while before I caved in to buy it. Now thinking a pair of these might be nice...

The fine details of the glaze are hypnotic, and seem to move even at rest

So pretty... the "sea cucumber" glazes are always like a captured moment in time.

Beautiful bowl. I reckon I'm about to buy a pair of aohagi yunomi and a bizen kyusu from yoshikawa-san. Just waiting for my credit card to roll into next month...

Thanks debunix and Mrs Chip! Loving these pieces more and more.

I had my eye on this one before I pulled the trigger with the others I posted. Beautiful cup!
