I know mine didn't actually show the flowers in the picture. It was number 14, which still can be viewed in the special offer thread. I was so excited when I realized that it had the three flowers on it! It's most definitely the one in the photo though, the flowers just must not have been included in the picture.
Regards,

Ack! I was debating on #14, had I known it had the sakura.
So maybe #13 does as well?

LOL! How many did YOU get?
Speaking of new teaware, here's my new aka raku bowl. It's unlike anything else in my collection.
I've never had any raku. This piece is incredibly lightweight. It sounds like a small terracotta pot when you tap it. And the whole thing seems to be quite porous, like hagi. The glaze is very complex, it seems like just a gloss wash, but from looking at pictures of akaraku where the foot isn't glazed, I know the glaze actually might be orange. I love it.

TC TA SO #1 ... #13 wan is sold ... sakura or not. I don't think that it does. Geek, I removed photos as pieces sold as well. So that may be why you did not see it?
Still two chawan and a really cool vase ... I speak first hand as vase #1 arrived here today ... so cool.
EDIT, great Raku Geek, details if you please?

[quote="Geekgirl"] It sounds like a small terracotta pot when you tap it.
that is the nature of raku yaki; to capture the "zen" of silence while whisking the matcha and not hearing a sound if the chasen hits the inside of the chawan.
... that's a beautiful piece you have.

Sorry all, I didn't even realize the sakura wasn't in the pic on #14...it was a flurry of (poor) photo taking and editing last week! I can confirm that #13 doesn't have any sakura. It's actually only the yunomi/wan w/out decoration -- just the pink glaze. And it's been snatched up...

Why sad? That old bull and former owner of the tusk might have died a natural death or killed in fair combat by the natives unlike todays mass slaughter. BTW the circumference at the top is 36 cm or over 14". I got it from a former English interpreter of General Chiang Kai Shek.
