Really nice Victoria! I love the way the spout blends so seamlessly into the pot. What size is that kyusu? What do you plan to brew in it?

Very very nice. The rough simple texture and finish is just splendid.

Thank you both!

Brian, it's about 6oz. So Sweet! So far just Da Wu Ye, I'll probably keep it for darker and Hawaiian oolong.

Wow, congrats, Victoria. Is that the twin of Shigaraki's?

my new from petr's:
very handsome bowl and as expected very with a good touch at the lips.
i'm really pleased of the form of the rim, the koudai and the versatile glaze with the different kinds of craquelée and bubbles.
in use it's easy to move and to clean (even if i was anxious about, 'cause of some rugged-looking parts inside ...); the size of the koshi/bottom fits quite perfect to look full with the amount of tea i'm used to use.
as shomen i've chosen petrs 1st picasa-picture, what gives a very nice mikomi-view in the bowl when drinking.
i decided to name it jokki/ジョッキ, "litte beer-mug": the kuchi-zukuri is strongly reminiscent of the rim of traditional stoneware-beermugs ...

and here some details about it petr told me right now:
"The clay body of the bowl is mix of few Czech stoneware with part of river sand mixed in (for "sandy filling" and for make clay more "dirty"- some spots and colors in the glaze comes from that sand). First firing for 1000°C in electric kiln. Than glazed by natural glaze which we can call basic celadon glaze. It is only local feldsphare plus about 15% of lima. This simle, basic composition makes it very variable- on almoust every pot it looks diferently- because of temperature, atmosphere in the kiln, clay body, thicknes and so on. I like the fellling of that glaze. Under that glaze I have use white slip- it means mixture of kaolin, white clay and feldsphare. Kind of decoration which I like because it is subtle, quiet and you can still see there more and more..."

bonjiri,
please see the pictures:

& yes: kodai is great, thus you see the "dirty" sandfilling or rather stones ...
