Thanks! Yes I think lotus is the inspiration.
My reaction was the same as yours when I saw it.
I didn't want to chance it being gone, if I did't get it
and decided to look around.

gascan cup
The lid makes a good coaster to hold the stainer ball. The fake spout and handle make a perfect tripod

salt mug
Salt Fired cup. The glaze on the outside rim stops approximately 3/4 of an inch down. The rest is just covered with the salt so in other words raw clay with a clear cover

I checked with Cory, he doesn't have a retail or gallery outlet right now, but it seems as though the best thing to do is watch his photo stream (you can rss it) and inquire if you see something you like.Tead Off wrote:Really lovely. What is the size of this and how much does he charge for a chawan like this?geek wrote: Click the image to see more views of this lovely teabowl.

His latest posting:

"this mornings tea. one of my favorite chawan. otemae chodai itashimasu. cone 10 fired, 'keawe' ash . hawaiian mesquite"
(I suspect this one is one of his "keepers," I've seen it on his stream and website before I think.)

As a fishing enthusiast I love the crankbait dangling from your pot! It looks like something an old fisherman might take on his boat.bishopmaple wrote:
