Wow, great pot! I love your tiny bamboo tea tray, too! I've never seen one with a top like that (reed? rush?)

Thanks Andy. The tray is Taiwanese and is one of my favourites - perfect for tea for one! I use it virtually every day now. It's only just over six inches long and the the inset in the lid, according to the vendor, is "hard dried grass or very thin bamboo". It's reinforced underneath the lid with three strong wooden slats.

I got it from Stéphane Erler of Teamasters blog fame. I've never seen a similar one for sale anywhere else. There's some more detail on Stéphane's site on this page.

Bargin of the week... managed to pick up one of these Bodum Classic 1.4L pots with glass strainer in a local department store sale for £14 - not bad when Amazon US is selling them for just under $45!

Hi all,

I hope I'll learn to take better pics, for now here is an old cup from a set of six I had many years ago from a friend who bought it in Venice. Sorry for the bad quality, I'll try to improve.

Wow, those are fantastic! Especially the inden-style canisters, since I am a big fan of inden.

Last month I actually bought one of the "cow" canisters (in honour of the Year of the Cow), but I didn't see the inden ones or I would have bought one of those, too.

{runs off excitedly to look at ryumeico's eBay shop again}

I love this shot. I also like the cup. It reminds me of a Japanese cup that I have that is one of my favourites.

Got this one from them, of course, it is Momiji after all.
I went through their actual site verses ebay.
And one of them could never be enough!!!
I also got the red version and black version of the dragonflies.

Both are nice thanks for posting! I am quite partial to anything with that symbol - is it double happiness?
