I like the movement , shape of your oribe tea bowl ( espacially the first one ) ...it seems to balance in a gentle breeze , very nice !

Traditional Oribe generally confuses me quite a bit ... ignorance is not always bliss. Maybe I am thinking too hard? ... as yours are simply beautes.

Attached are two Oribe chawan with one done with a more western style Oribe while the other one a more traditional ash based Oribe. The Tengu chawan surprised me with it's totally different tonalities..... twice fired where the second firing was done in a different atmoshpere from the first. It gives me something to ponder....

Those Oribe are maybe the most appealing I have seen. I reallllly like them.

The other two are very cool too! Tell Yamane to slip a few more into your kiln.

The Oribe style pieces are brilliant.

I have to get in touch with you soon about subscribing to the chawan program, I'm just willing the exchange rate to move back in my favour first

I find myself gravitating towards the Japanese style ash based Oribe as it carries a depth/subtlety to the glaze that fascinates me. I like it's changeable nature as well....

Many thanks Michael and Victoria. The concept behind the sinks is about form and not surface per se which hopefully allows these pieces to be integrated into a wide variety of environments. Shown are a pair of "Kai" which I installed in a bathroom of our house featuring bamboo countertops and wainscoating.
