Yunnan's Mao Feng. OK for an every day tea but no match against the power of a wet wind dragon well which I yet have to taste...but I can imagine as a common "mortal" what the experience would be like.

Right now, after work, i'm drinking "shoufuku no haru" a very limited matcha from Maiko.
The taste is very different compared to all the matchas i tried yet. but its very delicious. i'm glad i made this investment.:)

Hey what a coincidence, that's what I'm drinking right now as well! (Den's fukamushi)

I'm currently drinking through my second (and last) samples of the taste-testing rounds #7 and #8 -- sencha fuka and asamushi.

Went from sencha-less to sencha-more in a day! The TeaFridge says, "thank you!"

Been doing some prelim tastings of sencha from a new vendor for me, Umami-Chaya. YM, a sencha from Sayama, an organic, and another 7132 varietal offering (had the organic 7132 from O-Cha which was outstanding).

Also a sample from a member of OkuMidori from TeaGallery.

And another sencha from a new vendor for me ... also from member, Myou Jyou from GreenTeaJapan.

Whew, a busy 2011 so far!

I'm having a Spring '10 Yuuki-cha kagoshima sencha saemidori. Age makes it less bright with a pleasant sweetness and a touch of toastiness. It's also very potent stuff - too much leaf and you have to split one cup into two to keep the overhwhelming bitterness and umami down.

I'm drinking Jiu Hua fo cha from teaspring today. Its noticable that its not at its freshest due to being several months from harvest but is still very delicious. I can't wait until spring.

Well, still checking them out.

The TeaGallery OkuMidori is very interesting, one time more veggie, next time more fuka-like.

Umami-Chaya:
The YM has a really nice YM dry aroma, but have not nailed it yet.
The Sayama is quite bold and different.
Yama No Ocho is a pretty good organic, I can manipulate the results to my tastes at any given time ... this morning made it more veggie and bold with hotter water.
7132 is very interesing, quite cherry, this is supposed to be inherent to this 7132 varietal. The O-Cha version (organic) is more dried fruits evolving to cinnamon raisin bread, rather complex. This one is simply very cherry.

And Myou Jyou from GreenTea-Japan. Quite veggie and to my liking as I have been craving veggie sencha.

HG gyokuro (gokujo or so i was told) from Yame. I like it a lot, but tea container is getting empty too fast.

That is a common problem for just about all of us if we like the tea a lot, the tea container vanishes a lot quicker than we wish.
