Whoa Nellie, that sounds like something I would like. It's going to the head of the tasting list!tony shlongini wrote: Salsero: Make sure you're sitting down when you try the Changtai. The flavors are almost overwhelming (and pretty smoky).

As far as I know you have to be married to my wife, a position that isn't currently open.Oni wrote:I got to get one of those, where can you buy such a work of art?
Seriously though, since it was a gift I didn't ask, although I suspect he got it at the Shanghai Jade Buddha Temple since that is what the bag he handed it to in me says and his story of searching for puerh in Shanghai prominently featured a stop there.
sidenote: Apparently he asked the concierge at the Shanghai hotel he was staying at where to buy puerh. The snotty reply was 'You would have to go to china for that.' Apparently Shanghai, as the cultural and economic center of China, is a bit like New York in that respect. He did find puerh, so the guy was wrong, but I thought it was funny enough to share.

I have no idea what it is and frankly don't care - it's super yummy. I picked it up locally a while back for 75 bucks. All I know is I tasted it, my jaw dropped and I involuntarily said 'I'll take however many of these you have.' Unfortunately that was just 1.thanks wrote:Is that the 99?
