Uji Special Edition asamushi. This asa really impresses me with great session after great session ... and it can be "pushed" w/o ill-effect.
Yesterday, brewed up one of those sessions where as it was brewing and I smelled it, I knew it was going to be really special ... and it was.

Really nice combo of the teawares and tea--the rich green tea, snowy white cups, and simple unglazed kyusu. Sounds like the tea was as lovely as it looks.

I really like those cups. They do go well with the tea
Thanks for posting so many pictures lately, Chip. It's really nice to see your wonderful collection of tea ware (hard) at work!

Thank you, debunix and Stentor.
Well ... rerun of Ran. I am running a day behind. Yesterday's post was Saturday, and this one is Sunday's.
Anyway, this is a very enjoyable selection from Xell's Hakinowado (I can finally spell this without looking it up). Very high in "Crave Factor!"

A marvelous session with some Xihu Long Jing from Norbu--sweet, warm, vegetal. Enjoying it from a Petr-Yaki shino shiboridashi and cup.

May I ask whether it's an antique or a recent one?
Is it close to the kind of Bizen wares or anything else?

Enjoying, for the first time, a newly opened package of O-Cha's Uji Asamushi Sencha “Aoi”. Different than the other sencha I've tried, looks lighter but has a soft and sweet touch on the tongue. Makes me think of sushi.
