Sorry, you are right, I should read more carefully before just writing.
I could not agree with you more about most Chinese tea ware. I am not a fan of the plain porcelain and common zisha either. That is probably why I have a lot of Petr and Song-il in my collection as well.

That turquoise kyusu is very intense with the blue-purple-red.
Sweet stuff!

Thanks for the compliments on the teapot

I commissioned it after winning the cup. I'm very happy with how it turned out.
Woozl: so my little turtle is sitting on an elephant? I looked up your quote

Was wondering a thrift store again today and didn't find what I was looking for, but did happen upon these...

Around the openings looks much more gold in person. Somayaki, right?

There were actually four of these but the other two were in really bad shape.
All together, $0.95. Not bad?

Sure looks like Soma and the pair certainly look like Hagi ... mass produced (possibly Tenzopan) but I am sure you are not complaining.

Nice finds.

The elephant rests on a turtle. The turtle rests on another turtle. It's turtles all the way down.

Very nice! I love the way the color of the crackles matches the color of the tea, like they seamlessly blend right into one another...

This might help!

Yours doesn't have the horse motif on it, but it sure looks like the same maker!
