You would have to pry that secret out of Heavydoom, and I think he may be sworn to secrecy.

Wow! I thought you had to go to Toronto to find deals like this.
It doesn't really look like the pictures of the '99 Green Big Tree I've seen, other than having the same basic design. And there are a ton of cakes with this wrapper style. There are even other '99 Green Big Tree cakes that aren't the famous one (e.g., the one Sampan sells).

I don't think there are too many sellers who are unknowingly sell a tea for less than it's worth (though no shortage of sellers who sell tea for more than it's worth, or as something it's not).

Just for the record, the vendor made no claims of any kind other than smiling when he brewed it for me ( we tasted maybe 6 puerhs that day ) and I didn't even see the wrapper before I negotiated the price and wouldn't have known what it meant even if I had. I buy on taste alone if I can. The tea is definitely worth more than what I paid for it, but I be drinking this tea not collecting it. :D Yum! Thank the gods I spend my time enjoying things rather than researching and hoarding them! see how much of it I've already drunk!

why are people always so skeptical when one finds a great tea for a great price? the proof is in the tea, not some words from some so called pu erh tea experts who just because they have a great education think they know it ALL.

jealousy?

After this weekend, I finally understand the pu snobs that only drink aged. I took some young pu to the relatives and it was horrible and bitter. With my water at home, the same tea is smooth, sweet, with virtually no bitterness. Can't believe the difference the water really makes. I'm never moving.

Have you figured out what to do with the little tea tablets in the yellow bag?
