Global Tea Hut is an interesting organisation, with some fascinating articles in their newsletters.AdamMY wrote:The last of my sample of Sun Moon Lake Red tea from Global Tea hut. I hope its as good as my first batch.
What do you think of their teas, AdamMY?
Thanks.

I have only been a member for 1 month so far, so that is the only one I have tried. But this one was quite good.

I know Mim estate but I don't know the tea seller in the UK. There was only 1 seller of this tea in Darjeeling that I could find. They had the best Darjeelings I've had but they were more costly than the one you bought. Higher grade and whole leaf teas. Very hard to find. I will go back sometime just for these teas!sriracha wrote:I got it from UK site High Teas, do you know it?Tead Off wrote:Where did you find this tea, please?sriracha wrote:Second flush MIM estate Darjeeling today. Mim estate seems a little hard to find info about, a quick search got me almost nothing. Please, tell me if you find a vendor that sells better grades of their tea!Tead Off wrote:I know Mim estate but I don't know the tea seller in the UK. The seller for Mim estate in Darjeeling is a small shop in town. I have no way of getting in touch with them. No website. I believe Mim is government owned or controlled. I also think it is an organic producer. With Darjeelings, you have to pay attention to the grading and also the invoice #'s of the pickings. You really have to have somebody there who knows the teas and knows the difference between pickings to stay on top of it. Darjeeling makes for a very nice holiday!

An Assam today, 2nd flush Harmutty estate. Something honey-like in the smell.

Stuffing a small pot with this today, both looks like and has flavour notes of dark honey. Very warming.

Opened a small bag of Maloom estate black today, no info on year or pluck was available but I really enjoyed this one, aromatic and a little sharp but in a good way, tingling on my tongue for a long time afterwards.
