Here is a link to my first tea cup purchase! I love the soothing color and simple design. I found it at Whole Foods.

(I couldn't copy and paste it for some reason).

Ha, Augie, u mean your chawan collection is so huge you just stumble upon gems like that every now and then :)?

And Selaphiel, those are some nice pots.

I think this lovely Raku Chawan will be my next teaware purchase:

Also quite wabi-sabi.

Oh, my gosh, that is so cool. I am still after that swirley pot of Buzz's.

I will have to take a picture of the group I have. I found this one in the kids' bedroom -- they sleep with them! I got them from a fundraiser to aid a Womens' Domestic Violence shelter. The fundraiser is expensive so we only got 1 cup/year!

Here are the others: I am using the top one currently. My dd has one that is a deep, rich red. Regretfully, I know nothing about pottery, except that the top one is made from different clay stuff and conducts less heat.

That's plenty special! I like your samashi, and your thermometer. That one seems to be popular amongst us, as I have one and I think Scruff does, too.

Thanks for sharing! :D

Yep, I have that one too. So does Mary, IIRC. (Mary, who do you know with one?)

Although, mine is a little messed up, as I accidentally left it pinned to the side of a hot metal kettle. The plastic sheath is pretty brutally warped. :)

Actually, you can take me off the thermometer list. Mine's gone missing.

Come to that, my mother's missing a similar thermometer.

2.0 WAS making "drano bombs" as a science fair project...maybe he and I shall have a chat.

I had two of those infuser cups from Rishi, and I thought they were great. I only gave them away because my growing collection of pots made them superflous, and I saw the opportunity to pass them on to tea drinking friends (all my early stuff met this fate).

They are very good for a single 8-10 oz serving of tea; the only problem I ever had with it is the infuser tends to get leaves stuck in it. I just kept some toothpicks handy...

 I know you didn't aske me, I just get so excited when it comes to teaware.

Oh, he's probably doing something else, and it aint tea! You don't need a thermometer for a "Works Bomb". Just an empty 2l bottle, aluminum foil balls and "The works". don't try this at home:

Thanks for the comments!! :D
I have to say I love that thermometer. I two before I found that one... glad I found it though. It's so great because it's an almost instant reading and it's accurate. I like to call them "Mushroom Infuser Cups", those are my room mates. They do get crap stuck in them which is annoying. I can't use them anymore because I was drinking fennel tea out of them and all the little fennel buds were getting stuck in the holes. lol :) They are convienant though, which is nice.

The Samashi is cool but it takes skill to learn if you fill it up all the way. You need to pour it out just right or water will spill because of it's wide-lip and body design. Yeah it's nice though, it's good for now while I don't have any money for tea accessories :)
