Excellent photos, tenuki. But more importantly...where did you get the tatami coaster?
Also at Daiso, same price.

I have GOT to get to Seattle!

Teaware lust topic has just hit the 1,000 post mark...with this post. This is by far the most posted single topic on TeaChat far surpassing number 2, the oft druggie posted green tee smokin' topic.

OK...back to the teaware lust...

Beidao, thanx for not sharing a "self portrait" with that...congrats on your new aquisitions.

Haha, I'll work on it. If I don't get a picture posted today, I will tomorrow.

Britt; I guess that explains celadon? Green tea and light Taiwanese oolongs look spectacular in celadon.

Love the teapot Beidao. My jealousy and GAS (gear acquisition syndrome) is currently in high gear. Must spend some time shopping on the internets today!

My dragon tetsubin by request:

(Holy blown highlights, batman!)

This was my first "serious" teapot, bought for me as a birthday present by my very tolerant husband. He had no idea what he was starting! Before this teapot, I used teabags. At least I was trying, they were "good" teabags. (meaning they cost MOARRR!)

Wow! Not that fond of tetsubins, but that is one of the nicest I've seen.

*shielding Chip's eyes* look away quickly!!

Teaware is better than clothes any day. Does it not bother you to brew Chinese tea in a Japanese pot? Will you still use it for sencha?

Or is this pot porcelain and thus washable?

I suppose there is no point in asking where you got the wonderful Meishan Yinxuan. Undoubtedly it is one of the famous Swedish teas, available only in Swedelandia to the Swedelandians who live there. Could you elaborate a bit on it, as I have never heard of it. It is a medium oxidized oolong, I assume from the pic.

Mei Shan is a high mountain area in Taiwan where all the cool Swedelandians shop.
Sal, I thought I saw you there last week buying some Golden Lily too.

Then is this a pretty roasty one that it is so dark? Is that how the Swedelandians treat Hi Mountain Oo?

I just wanted the chance to repost these beautiful photos.

In general I am not especially keen on dragons as a design motif - but your tetsubin is just stunning! Thanks for sharing this!

Nice, is it Japanese or Chinese?

Is tea popular in Sweden? I suppose tea has its followers just about everywhere...

BTW I have a beloved uncle (through marriage) who is a Swede, and some Swedish ancestry myself... I hope to visit the country someday!
