Sutble Shino Chawan, quite a bit different in feel than the last two. Restful...I think.

The glaze on this chawan was an experiment. I used one of my basic shino type glazes and added about 20% ponderosa pine ash. The final glaze finish is soft with depth. Nice hand feel.

I haven't mentioned this, but I love the little platter you have been displaying the chawan with. Any chance one or two of those are available? Also, today's offering is stunning. It even looks soft.

I like this shino-experiment glaze ...soft and subtile various grey color...very quite and peacefull one ! great !

This piece just came out of the kiln today along with several others. They were fired in my small kiln pictured in the post above this one.
This Chawan is glazed with Tenmoku and Nuka.
