I just noticed...

12 days ago, this thread just passed its 5th birthday!!!

Reading back over my first posts, it's amazing (and rather embarrassing) to see where my Yixing knowledge level was back then, and to see how far I've come. I'm sure others probably feel the same way!

Much thanks to TIM, kyleshen, kingslam, brandon, Abracadaver!, and the many others who have personally helped me along this journey, as well as the many new friends here on the forum who have shared their impressive expertise and knowledge. Here's to 5 more years and continuing to learn more and more about this captivating artform.

Here is a photo of all three of my teapots, two yixing and one celadon.

Here are the stats on the teapots:

- Larger Yixing
This was my first teapot and was purchased at a random shop in SF Chinatown this year. I believe the price was $35 or so. I spent the entire afternoon looking at pots at the various shops. This one seemed particularly nice to my untrained eye. The lid fits exceptionally well and makes a nice sound as it closes. I've dedicated it to a San Lin Xi which is my current favorite oolong. Capacity is about 150cc.

- Smaller Yixing
Wisdom China Zisha Xishi zisha teapot
Size:9*5.7cm Capacity: about 85cc
Material:Qingshui ni.
Made by:Wu Huasong
It is made by an artist named Wu Huasong,who had made Zisha teapot for 30 years from 1983.He is a skilled Zisha maker and won a few of awards in recent years.Some of his work have been collected by some famos organize and written in books.This is the most affordable one of his works.

these are some finds in Chinatown, just cheap ones, but I'm still curious to see if someone can tell me more.

It's hard to tell from one photo. They look very shiny. What do they smell like?
