Re: Official/Different Yixing Show Off Topic!
Sorry, I meant in ml or cc. Most here in the "western market" prefer pots in the 40-120ml range.

Material:Qingshui ni.
Made by:Wu Huasong
Thin walled
Purchased from Wisdom China
This pot is nice and small and gets and stays rather hot. I use it for shou pu-erhs.
Re: Official/Different Yixing Show Off Topic!
Volume: 40ml
Year: 80s
Walls: Thin/Medium
Pour: ~10s
Where: from sampletea.com
Pairing: Cliff tea(also tried with 5year old sheng)
This has been the first pot that made me say "wow" when I tasted the first rinse. The body is increased and makes the tea more "chocolately". I don't know if the small size causes the temp of the water to quickly fall or the clay itself is somehow affecting the taste.
The original link is here: http://www.sampletea.com/product/1980s- ... eapot-40ml
I got the last one!

*sigh* I've been searching for a lu ni pot that size for ever. I was pissed when I saw that one was out of stock.javi_sanchez wrote:

Re: Official/Different Yixing Show Off Topic!
I seems like everything good is getting bought up! So many sold out online stores. Gives one an excuse to make some impulse buys.
My new teapot came saturday. It's pear-shaped 梨形 (Lí xíng) 160 ml. from "teamasters." It's a reproduction of an old design I've wanted forever.

Nice box. No cheap silk this time.

The teapot required no "seasoning" clay makes a nice bright ringing sound seems true to the description. (in face it was nicer than I expected) I have been nervous about buying a zhuni pot like this because good ones tend to cost a bit more and I don't know as much about this clay.

Why do some pear shaped yixing have such tall lid lips? "the long walls under the cover" This isn't even that big/long... I love the look. Having made a few lids I shudder to think how hard it is to make such deep lids... Maybe they use a different method? Hmmm

孟臣山泉一勺惠
Meng Chen and Picasso made this teapot together on the Titanic. (seller said it was modern, good honest seller, I guess this mark is just to complete the "look" in this reproduction? I wouldn't mind knowing what company/artist reproduced it. Our reading skills are not the best. I may have missed something.)

I can't decided if this will be my aged sheng pot or aged oolong.... choices.

You mean, Tea Masters based in Taipei?
The only pots I have seen advertised online are these two and they have been there for quite a while now. Maybe it is a pot he got for sale offline, anyway looks nice. Good luck with it, zhuni pots are not forgiving. If they like something is oolong, especially the 'greenier' type.

Same here, zini and raw puerh are like mother to child.

I have both a zini pot and a zhuni pot that I use with sheng. They both do really well with aged puerh. Just saying... It can be donebagua7 wrote:

I think that this teapot will do well with aged oolongs. At least the way I like them. This may mean cleaning my current oolong teapot.BW85 wrote:I have both a zini pot and a zhuni pot that I use with sheng. They both do really well with aged puerh. Just saying... It can be donebagua7 wrote:
