This teapot belonged to my great grandmother. My mother gave it to me when I moved out on my own. I also have two cups and saucers, two cake plates, a creamer and sugar bowl in the set.

I've had the pot for almost 30 years, but actually used it for the very first time last night! I wanted to make a nice cup of tea for my parents who are visiting. I brewed the tea in my 32oz IngenuiTEA, but couldn't figure out how to properly dispense it. Doh! Use a teapot!

I so enjoyed the ceremony of it! The set is going to have to come out of the cabinet and take up a place of honor somewhere.

Stunning. Literally one of the best painted gaiwans I've ever seen. And very original to boot.

What size did it say? All the ones I've bought from Jerry have come in at around 30ml+ under what they were listed.

I got a 150ml one that's around 110ml and 200ml one thats around 170ml.

For me that was a bonus on both counts.

Thanks! I'm not sure which animal represents the year I was born, but I'm pretty sure it isn't the tiger or dragon. It's probably some less exciting animal like a rooster. I'll check it out online.

The product description said it was 200ml filled to the rim. I would much prefer it to be smaller, and it sounds like it may be. I would also consider an error in this direction to be a plus.

Thanks for the link. As suspected, it was the year of the rooster. Oh well, maybe in my next life I'll be born in the year of the dragon or tiger. I guess for now I'll have to cancel the tiger gaiwan order and buy a rooster gaiwan instead!
