Wow, nice ume blossoms. Are there any photos of the foot?olivierco wrote:I will spend up to 150$ on this auction I guess. I have never found any Kyoyaki chaire of this kind.
Does anyone have links to Kyoyaki chaire?
No, I've never seen Kyoyaki chaire before. That doesn't mean they don't exist, of course; I've barely dipped my toe into the world of chaire. But the chaire sold for general purposes are usually Setoyaki. This one has a very festive feeling - I wonder if it might be used for New Year?
If you Google on 京焼 茶入 茶道 (Kyoyaki, chaire, chadou) you may be able to find other examples.

In the meantime, I found the auction itself. (Don't worry, I won't bid

When I have a chance, I'll have to ask my teacher about Kyoyaki chaire. If she has anything to say, I'll let you know.

Vein is right. Vane is a device for telling wind direction. Vain is self sightedness. Veins are versatile. They can carry blood, or they can be a traffic conduit. sometimes veins are hypothetical.joelbct wrote:Have you seen this one? It's in a similar vein (vane? vain? lol), and a buy-now option at $59.50 plus shipping.

And ya, I saw it, but not to my taste. Too symetrical.
