When dotK was here last weekend we went to Hankook Tea in LA. I had really promised
myself not to buy anything there but ... who could resist this little chataku lily pad
with frog?

It was even soooo cute I suppressed my aversion to raw wood (ewww) and bought
it anyway.

But I soon decided it needed a light matte lacquer coat, and wow, did it really
turn out beautiful.

You can see it in action on today's TeaDay

But you can build so much cool stuff out of them. :)
“Take some more tea,” the March Hare said to Alice, very earnestly.
“I’ve had nothing yet,” Alice replied in an offended tone: “so I ca’n’t take more.”
“You mean you ca’n’t take less,” said the Hatter: “it’s very easy to take more than nothing.”

As a fishing enthusiast I love the crankbait dangling from your pot! It looks like something an old fisherman might take on his boat. :D
I didn't like the cutesy ornament that was at the end of the chain so I swapped it out.

I got this Di Cao Qin pot from Chen over the weekend. I had it custom made, its hard to find good quality Di Cao Qin these days. Of course the craftsmanship, especially the water flow is amazing.

What is the volume? What do you think of the quality of the clay? And more importantly, does it make good tea?
