If we are admitting to it... I feel I have HAD(Hagi Acquisition Disorder), and a possibly a early case of CAD(Chawan Acquisition Disorder), which are both in the TAD category. It is really bad when there is an intersection of HAD and CAD as in a Hagi Chawan...

Hummm not seeing the fairy, rather not say what I see.

She was selling some of this style chawan with a lovely lavender interior, I'm still quite tempted. Hope I get a fairy.

I'm seeing a partially squished eyeball with trailing veins.
Ewww! But then I've been having a drink in the evening here on the lanai. I'm sure it's probably a fairy.

Raining a soft warm rain here tonight. Just got in from Lahaina.

I thought if he took a picture with the bowl rotated 180 degree's it'd be a color modified tea plant seedling?

Amorphiss - wonderful!!! Love your chashaku and container! And great chaire! I don't have a chaire yet. :( Not sure where to find a good one.

Today - a new chawan by a Master chawan creator (IMHO) Cory Lum - temporarily I'm calling this chawan 'arm of biidoro' (but that's not poetic really, and doesn't really resonate for me deeply other than that I get a sense of an arm reaching out somehow; I shall ponder). I couldn't resist 3 shots of this gorgeous chawan today. (Click any of the images to enlarge)

Cheers.

Not the most artistic shots, but I've been meaning to show off this chawan for a while. I'll post some additional views of this one in the Hagi thread.

And yes, I am having matcha at 4pm! I was up all night delivering a baby, and have only slept a couple of hours this morning. I am really needing a lift to get me through the remainder of the day without going to bed at dusk, so matcha seemed a good solution.

This chawan was an Ebay purchase, and I don't remember the vendor or the artist. I expected when I bought it that it would be "lower quality" than the Hagi pieces I've gotten from Mago... partially because the price wasn't bad, and partially because there was no true "foot" on the chawan. But, the glaze looked so beautiful and celestial, I just *needed* it, and I have not been disappointed. It is one of the most lovely of all my blue pieces, second only to my Ao Tebineri yunomi from recent special offer.

The matcha is Kiri no Mori from O-Cha...

Sarah - yes - to matcha!
And, here's to your new chawan!
It's a beaut.
Thanks for sharing your matcha day.
Seeing your images makes me want matcha! But its 5:30, so I think I'll wait until tomorrow morning...
Anticipation, anticipa-yay-yay-eeyayeetion...
(any chance you know the dimensions? - I saw your trio shot on the hagi thread - and I get a sense of it relationally, but still curious about height and width).
