Isn't 'matcha source' a euphemism for 'crack dealer'... ;P

I'm curious, do you sift all your matcha at once and use the sifter as a storage tin, or do you just sift individual doses (:D) as you need it?

I go through matcha fast, so will most likely sift one tin at a time, since the matcha sifter serves as an air tight container. What's nice, though, is the sifter is removable, so it can also be used to sift other teas if neccesary.

You should give it to Wes so he can filter out all those unfortunate leaves from his fukamushi bits.

Space, I saw that one, but bought this one:

Now I'm thinking my canister is plastic, I didn't notice that before.
But oh well I can just use the sifter part and then store the matcha in another tin.
Or just use it cup by cup is also another option I guess.

I bought that one too, Vic. The canister is tin. It's huge too, 100g. I use it to store my food grade matcha. The tin is made by Marukyu Koyamaen who make excellent matcha. They are an Uji based company.

I sift my matcha dose-by-dose. Just because you sift it doesn't mean it's going to stay sifted the next time you want to use it. :)

Thanks Buzz,
Oy! Sounds pretty big.
I'm thinking dose-by-dose sounds more like me anyway.

Wow...that is BIG!!

I am improvising, I use a sample tin from Upton and a Tetsubin metal infuser basket fits into it perfectly. But since I sift dose by dose, I usually sift right into the preheated and dried matcha bowl. Not sure if that is the "right way" or not.

I feel a little like Padre....

You have to preheat for matcha too?

You should. Matcha is VERY temperature sensitive from my experience

Hey, what kind of devil tea is this that people refer to it as a "dose" of matcha?
