Well that makes the cup look a lot more attractive. Nice compostion, BTW. How does it feel when you heft it? Is it heavy? Does the foot give you good purchase on the bowl? The photo is making me want to go one step farther ...
... and
drink it! I guess that's a good thing.

Thanks for the compliments, Salsero! It's actually lighter than I would have imagined, but it does have some heft. It has an ergonomic feel that my other wares don't, and it feels oddly like unfired clay. I'm not sure I really feel comfortable holding it just by the foot, but it is certainly possible, and my discomfort probably has more to do with my klutziness than its construction.

Dang, now I have to hold it. Pls mail it to me.
I didn't mean just by the foot, I meant thumbs on rim and fingers grasping foot. I am baby steps closer to understanding it. Thanks for the picture. That really makes a difference for me.

You know, I don't actually drink Japanese teas (at least not yet...holding onto wallet tightly). I'm planning to drink Chinese tea from this cup.
Is that ok or is that sacrilege to you matcha-heads?

Sorry, scruff. If I had known it was you, I would have retracted my bid.

Is this one the chawan from zencha or just something very similiar? It's absolutely amazing, I've been eyeing it for a while, might start saving some money for it.
