Re: Petr Novák - Pots under influence of tea
I post the official topic, then there will be at least a 3 day wait, there will be a full explanation of how this TA SO will run along with photos, specs and prices of all the pieces.senchalover wrote:How do we purchase/get involved?
The actual sale will go "live" at a set time that will also be announced at least 3 days prior.
The actual ordering will be via PM to your friendly TC Moderator.

If you want to view a past TA SO, you can check out this tipic, although most of the photos were deleted as items were sold. http://www.teachat.com/viewtopic.php?f= ... 04#p162104

A couple of days ago, before your post and as I was closing out the sale of my other Petr Novak items, I slyly inquired about his SO. You'll be happy to hear that he refused to let the cat out of the bag.

Re: Petr Novák - Pots under influence of tea
Some BD gifts received recently from the Mrs. Unfortunately a recent computer virus has knocked out my ability to get photos from my camera. Til then PetrPictures will have to do.
Petr made this Kyusu as a special order. I am thrilled with it. It is very functional and feels really nice in hand. The handle is my handle of choice currently for smaller kyusu. I like it for 4 ounce steeps, 120 ml. I did not want it to match the cups ... wanted it different which he accomplished!

Cups picked from his available now pages. Perfect size!

And a gyokuro shiboridashi set also picked from his available now. I really like each piece and they work together perfectly. The set also included a yuzamashi. The shiboridashi holds 3 ounces, 90 ml.

Re: Petr Novák - Pots under influence of tea
I just wrote in praise of my lovely new Kyusu from the TC special offer over in the SO topic here. Because I couldn't stop taking pictures of it, I'll share a few more here:

Kyusu by debunix, on Flickr

The first group to get a workout today: kyusu, yuzamashi, here used as a pitcher as the kyusu holds a bit more than the cup, and a cup

They look great together and feel good in use, and add to the pleasure of the tea.
That's enough for tonight, but I have more pictures for later.

Thank you Debunix for such pictures. It would be great to have you here after each firing -to take pictures with your camera
Here you can see one of the teapots from SO serie which didn't survive the firing-actualy there is crack on the body but it works anyway so I can keep it for mayself... You can aslo see few pictures from the last firing on my blog : http://potsandtea.blogspot.com/

Re: Petr Novák - Pots under influence of tea
I'd love to come see your kiln after a firing and shoot the lovely teawares. It would be especially fantastic to come and do a shoot of some pieces at different stages--from clay being prepared for the wheel to the final firing. I love the shot in the SO topic of the kyusus lined up like the clay army soldiers from an ancient tomb....

Re: Petr Novák - Pots under influence of tea
My recent shipment included a dramatic large bowl, so pretty from every angle that I'm going to show a few more of the many pictures I took of it in this topic too.

The clay is coarse but the walls are remarkably thin, and the whole is very light. The subtle shine of the shino is just gorgeous.
