That also figures. :)

For now I have not hooked up the drain, and it's bit shallow inside.
So carrying it to dump in the sink makes me a little nervous.

If I remember right, you and I had nearly identical trays. Did yours finally give up and start leaking?

Mine originally started leaking about 3 months ago, I tried to remedy that with some silicone caulk around the seams, which fixed it until this past week. Now I am not sure how I can fix it, as I am not sure where it is leaking from it is such a slow leak.

*edit: I fixed the quote, so it appeared correctly

No, mine is not leaking yet! But I have have two trays at home and one at work so I spread the brewing around. I really liked this one for the looks and the small size is good for one person, when I eventually bring it home.

What's it like putting cups down on it? I was a little worried it would be a bit "clangy"

I guess I like it so much, nothing bugs me. :)

It feels and looks more like iron. No one believes it is ceramic.
The sound is diff than on wood, obviously, but it's not like clanking on
ceramic either. I guess because it is so thick.

Love it to bits. All one piece of wood.

Fabulous, love the look of the long and narrow ones.
Is it sloped towards the drain? It looks father flat.

Its pretty much flat with just the slightly suggestion of curve towards the drain. Nothing the eye can see but the water rolls towards. Its a great piece...weighs about 8-10kg

I just wanted to buy something that wont need replacing. Anything that uses glue is asking for trouble,.

I love the clean lines and the more Japanese look of it. I was worried about the shipping since it is ceramic, but it arrived safely. I'm quite pleased with it.
That is one of the coolest ones I've seen, and it does look very much like a Japanese design. Very nice!

Thus far, I only have a Yixing teaport for my pu'erh, and an older one for jasmine tea. Last month, I spotted this little fella sitting in the local tea shop's window, and I HAD to have him.

And there's a surprise on the bottom!

Analysis:
The handle is a bit higher than the top of the teapot minus the lid, so you can't turn the pot upside down and have it stand. However...the lid is extremely snug with zero rattle, although it turns smoothly. Placing my thumb over the hole in the lid (tiger's butt) doesn't *quite* stop the flow (and you snatch your thumb back because it's quite hot!). The spout doesn't dribble; once the pour gets truly started, the tea almost arcs up and away with a clean finish. The strainer inside is well-sized, and it's the 'round' (bubble) style. The inside of the pot is clean, but a little rough to the touch. The outside is very smooth, and the tea wants to roll off it more so than my pu'erh pot. It's not a true 'brown' as with most teapots I've seen....it's more of a swampy brown, with hints of green in it. The inside, after several pots of green oolong, smells like.....well, wet gravel. I ran several potfuls of boiling water through it prior to use, and notice no off flavors or oil. Purchased at Mountain View Tea Village.

What an awesome pot! I have one with a dragon seal on the inside but I never saw one on the bottom before. I also like the tiger on the lid. Is this supposed to be like crouching tiger and hidden dragon? Good find!
