I saw Chip's post about the poll on Monday. I had a suggestion that I would like considered. There is such a HUGE variety of teaware in this thread and I love checking it all out. However, it gets a little hard to remember where I've seen one once a little time has passed (in case my credit card starts feeling lonely.) Could we consider starting different threads for different types, kind of like the chataku thread? Maybe a yunomi thread, yixing, kyusu...I know as people post "family" pics there will be some mixing, but for individual pics it might be a nice way to keep things a bit organized.
Just my 2 cents. "Cafeteria style" - take what you want; leave what you don't.

That's a nice idea, Katrina!
I wonder if it might be even better to have a combination yunomi/chataku thread, since almost everyone seems to photograph them together. Nowadays one seems naked without the other.
And you're right, there is still a need for "family" shots, the stunningly composed still-lifes that feature yunomi/chataku, plus maybe a teapot, some flowers... more flowers...

OK, interesting! Because an alternative to creating the new SOYPACs topic would be to break the original topic up...essentially split it into these different topics. Interesting.
So, there could be the Show off your Yunomi/Chataka (or even broader...Japanese Teaware) going back to the beginning of the original topic. Or starting now.
These topics, due to their popularity could be stickied for easy access.
OK, I will include some of these ideas in the poll and take full credit for them of course!
I am unlocking the poll topic, please feel free to add ideas THERE. Thanx! In fact, if you could copy and paste your posts, please do.

Nice pieces of hardware! I especially love the fluted white one in the last picture. Where did you get it? I have been looking for something like that!

Hop - the lily one is from a new eBay vendor called Tea Emporium:
http://stores.ebay.com/Tea-Emporium
They are rather small but sweet and beautiful in person.
CK - the green cups are from Jing in the UK - strangely enough I bought them to match my green gaiwan that I bought from TeaSpring. On the Jing site they are called "Blue Crystal" - but I took a chance - they are a perfect match. The glaze is called crystal glaze, and the crystals actually grow in the firing process.
I also bought some white ones you can see here:
They are a nice size, comfortable to hold.

The larger green and white crystal cups are 4oz
The white blossom one is 2 oz
and the lily is just slightly under 2 oz
