2008 Moon Light White / Wild Arbor Raw
Interesting visually. Tasted like white peony, persimmon leaves, and white puerh....
After 3rd brew, tasted like a Oriental Beauty without the intense honey/fruit.
Just to have it in the archive : )

Have not tried a white pu-erh like the one shown. Need to put that on my list of things to try. Thanks for sharing the great pics!
Good tea drinking,
Steve

Thanks guys, I think this is on my top list of the most contrasty Pureh ( since I'm in the visual art business
Netsurfr, just curious, which other white Pureh you'd tried before?

Tim, it is slowly dawning on me that you may be a particular fan of white puerh. I have always thought it was not generally held in high regard ... I may have to revise my thought.

Actually, have not tried a white pu-erh so that is why I probably need to try one.

I have not extensively experimented with this tea but I like it.
"Xiaguan tea factory produced this from leaves picked from 700+ year old Pu-erh trees growing in the Baoshan region south of Dali. The leaves are dark and uniform in size (quite large). An impeccable uncooked Pu-erh with a bold taste free of the bitterness of less aged Pu-erh trees. Hand-made cake!"
cheers,
Steve

That's a very interesting looking cake there, I'd be curious to hear more of your thoughts on how it tastes. I don't remember ever hearing of Sampan. Their selection looks quite nice.

That is some great tea pr0n there!
Those look like the Nannuo and Menghai Peacock cakes there. I was quite impressed with the Menghai and Thanks loved the mouth feel of the Nannuo. Right now I am drinking the Bulang which is pretty impressive in its first couple shots. I am going to have to go back to try the Nannuo again. I got the sampler of all five Peacocks and it is a great way to go. /Me loves samples.
I am getting excited about Sampan!

hmm, the top right is a liming menghai from YSSL ... the mtn was not indicated. Is that red color from Nannuo?
And yes, the one under it is Menghai 05' from Houde
Sampan has been very kind with great customer service. You have to inquire about pricing for some whole cakes... though they are not expensive for the age compared to Houde.
