Thank you for the photos. Very nice! Do you think it represents a gull, or...? I had wondered whether it was supposed to be a plover (chidori) - that's a popular design that often appears on teabowls.
Either way, a great bowl

I think it is supposed to be a winter chawan so perhaps a Japanese Snowy Plover? Shirochidori (シロチドリ) 白千鳥
I'm not really sure though. Just an artist's mark on it and and the box for it, no flowing verse or name for the bowl unfortunately.

Nice gaiwan! Any idea if that is Seiryuu the Azure (blue) dragon or just a generic dragon? Any writing on the bottom? Enquiring minds want to know...

Large tea cannister 12cm x 9cm (4.5 x 3.5).
Too large to use it to store sencha or gyokuro but it will be perfect for big leaf tea.

I am always agreeable to adding a new Japanese canister as well.
Quite a looker, Olivier. Enjoy!

Oooh I love that Olivier! I've been wanting to get a nice canister like that myself for some of my favorite teas. Nice choice
