I also tested these clay bodies with some slips, glazes and shinos. There is a good "fit" we call it. You want the glaze to shrink the same amount as the clay body. I'm excited about this and I get to use my secret chamber after the flues in the base of the chimney. I get a cone 8 in there as per my last firing. I had one test body that came out too vitrified and the clay slumped! My 25/75 mix is perfect. I made up about 40lbs. of it and have already thrown it. I have teapots, chawans, a teatray, several serving trays, a sake set and more.
